What is sound???

hello world to day i am going to tell you about sound.

sound is a bunch of little waves it travels slowly though air but faster in water .

properties of sound 

sound has properties just like light sound is little vibrations that our ears hear.  the properties of sound  sound travels , sound can be reflected sound can be absorbed , sound can be modified .sound is caused by vibrations.

Experiment 1 – how sound travels

we did a experiment and we tied a string to 2 cups and we tried to make a phone but it did not work . We could hear each other maybe the string wasn’t making the vibrations.

Experiment 2 – we were hearing how sound travels through solids.

The Ear

the purpose of the outer ear is to catch sound waves

the job of the ear drum is picking up the vibrations

to hear our ears need to be able to pick up sound waves

refection of learning

i think science is going ok this year. I have enjoyed doing the experiments.
